Alejandro is an economist, seasoned global investor, and recognized Latin-American serial entrepreneur.
At age 28 he founded the Nexus Group with three other partners and grew it to become Peru’s largest private equity firm, managing over US$1 billion total assets under two funds. For 17 years, Alejandro acted as Managing Partner, and was responsible for creating, sourcing new ventures and investment opportunities as well as strategic monitoring of the portfolio companies.
In 2017, Alejandro founded Ataria Ventures an investment vehicle to co-invest globally with top tier VCs in highly-vetted startups.
In 2020, Alejandro founded Favo, the first social commerce grocery platform for LatAm. Favo will transform the life of millions of families in LatAm saving money and time in their grocery shopping while at the same time creating a new category of entrepreneurs: Favo community leaders.
Alejandro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru. He went on to gain an MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.
