In a new season of LA7EM’s Business Trip, the city of Miami in Florida serves as the setting to tell the story of great entrepreneurs and leaders of large companies, their journey, their lives and what they have done especially well over the years to occupy high-level management positions today.

In this episode, with a little coffee of Juan Valdez in the hand and aboard our Tesla, we learned the story of Ana Paula González, director of Softbank Miami, her beginnings as an entrepreneur and her work for the technological entrepreneurship ecosystem of La Florida.

Ana Paula González
Investor, Director of the Miami Initiative at SoftBank Group International
Ana Paula González is the Director of the Softbank Miami Initiative, building out the early-stage investment platform for the group in the Magic City. Previously, Ana spent 4+years at 500 Startups, one of the most active VC investors globally. At 500, she held a variety of roles that included launching the 500 Miami office, leading the Global Ecosystem and Accelerator Programs, and launching the global Managed Funds. Previous to 500, Ana spent 4 years developing the impact investing field in Latin America, leading investment and acceleration programs for for-profit social and environmental companies. Ana started her career at The Boston Consulting Group, where she worked with clients in Private Equity, financial services and non-profit sectors. Ana holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with honors and a Bachelor in International Business from Tec de Monterrey with honors.
